A crown is a full cover which fits over the tooth after it has been reduced in size to accept the crown. A crown can also change the size, shape or colour of the tooth, but it is more destructive of the natural tooth structure and would therefore usually be used instead of a veneer where more strength is required in the finished product, or where the tooth is badly damaged and there is not enough tooth remaining to provide a veneer.

When the teeth have been prepared an impression is taken. The impression does not need to cover your whole mouth making this a reasonably comfortable procedure. Temporary crowns will be provided, looking perfectly aesthetic, whilst our technicians skillfully produce your crowns. The fitting appointment is usually shorter and will generally be around two weeks later and yet again, a comfortable experience.
