Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers…..a thing of beauty.

Veneers can be used to correct many defects, chips, larger fractures, discoloration and the closing of gaps between teeth.

Veneers can change the size and shape of teeth and can sometimes be used in certain cases to improve the appearance of crowded teeth. A veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain, which is bonded on to the tooth surface to change the shape, size or colour of the tooth and make the teeth look natural and healthy.

It is possible to provide a number of veneers to the front teeth to change the look of a patient’s smile completely should they so wish or just to brighten up badly damaged teeth.

The veneer simply covers the front surface of the tooth and is less invasive than a crown, as less tooth has to be removed to accommodate the thickness of the veneer.

In some cases no preparation is needed and a veneer can simply be placed directly on to the tooth.

Veneers are made by highly skilled ceramic technicians in specialist laboratories chosen by us, therefore the procedure needs one to two weeks to complete. Your teeth will look perfectly natural during this period.
